Beauty Products For Every Woman

.

Cosmetics are a expanding category of beauty and health products which are used mainly to enhance or accentuate a person's look, or to care for the skin and hair. The term technically does not refer to anything having to do with the face or the body. The word is from the Greek word "cos", meaning "face", and "semis" meaning "smooth". Cosmetics also include personal care products such as toiletries, cosmetics, skincare, hair care and bath and beauty products.

Beauty products can be divided further into categories based on the function they play in the life of a woman. In addition to the categories mentioned above there are bath and beauty products such as cosmetics applied to the hair and body. The next major category is cosmetics such as makeup, eyeliners, mascara, lipsticks, eye shadows, and blush, see this page. The third largest category is that of fragrances, and the fourth largest is that of personal care products such as lotions, soaps, towels, etc.

There has been quite a bit of talk in the media recently questioning the continued expansion of the beauty industry. Questions like; Are anti-aging and anti-wrinkle creams the new beauty products? Can we expect to see a black market for fake cosmetic medications such as Botox and Acne treatments?

In response to the increased regulations and scrutiny of beauty products and pharmacies there has been a move by manufactures to diversify into different areas of the business. Most large corporations have made a point to produce their own line of lip balms, cleansing creams, lotions, and lip glosses. Although these brands don't necessarily target younger consumers the move by manufacturers to produce more specialized lines has created space for niche brands that cater to the needs of the older, more mature market.

One new beauty product that has been gaining in popularity is makeup. Cosmetics companies have recognized that many women want professional-looking makeup and that they want it delivered to their homes. They have also recognized that younger women often do not want or need the heavy makeup that professionals use. Makeup manufacturers are now producing lines of products specifically aimed at women who are more on the oily side, also take a look. Women with oily complexions can now find foundations, bronzer, lipsticks and eye shadows that look natural and do not clog pores.

One line of beauty products that is growing in popularity is skin-care. Skin-care brands like Exposed Skin Care, Arbonne, Neutrogena and Dove have expanded into skin-care products such as face washes, exfoliators and masks that can be purchased without a prescription. Although some of these brands may be more expensive than the department store brands many consumers prefer the product packaging and customer service. Skin-care specialists are generally well trained and can help a consumer with any skin-related issue they may have. Read more at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmetics
